Born in the UK, Charlotte currently lives in Toulouse, France. Travelling extensively over the past years, experiences people met feed her work.

 

Having recently completed residencies in India and France, she is currently expanding on ideas formed during her travels.

 

About her work:

 

"I am interested in borders, and the space between where one thing ends and another ends. This space is everything and equally, nothing. For me, painting only to produce a visually pleasing representation holds little motivation. Rather, I try to understand this indefinable place - between the physical and the ideal. Somewhere between the two is something beyond verbal language, which holds a fundamental truth. In my current work I explore the bridge or space that exists between our own nature and natural landscapes that we see."
